On Display Only

These drawings are on display and not yet available for print due to the legalities involved. The Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass drawings are pending copyright permission, I am also researching the exact terms of character context, hopefully will be sorted out soon enough. The Disney piece will never be available because I won't even bother trying to establish selling rights, I don’t want to mess with the corporate buggers at the wonderful world of Disney, lol. All the others are shared copyright, meaning I own half the piece; they were done in collaboration with other artists around the world. Some may become available for print, I will be in touch with the other artists to see if an arrangement can be made per there monetary value. For more details see the Exquisite Corpse link to the right. As for all that, I still very much hope you enjoy some of these works. Your viewing them is still very much appreciated by me. I don't do this for money; they are a means to keep my sanity. So without further ado...

"Rendition of Alice's World" by Katie Ewing ©'97

Created in 1997 after rereading Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Caroll for the 4th time I think. The character artwork is based on the original characters created by Sir John Tenniel. Done with a number 2 pencil, while at work in a plastic factory on the graveyard shift. It is one of my favorites; I love Alice and her story.

"Anubis Eye" by Reinhard Schmidt & Katie Ewing ©'07

Created in May of 2007, with Reinhard Schmidt. I am a true fan of Reinhard, his artwork is amazing. He created the top half, covered all of it up except for 3cm, mailed to me, and I completed the bottom half. Done in graphite pencil. These are done for a club called the The Exquisite Corpse.

"All in a Golden Afternoon" by Katie Ewing ©'04

Created in 2004, again, I love Alice and her story. This is a stipple drawing, in laymen terms, a drawing consisting of entirely dots. Done with 22mm fine point ink. This took about a month to do; I had to keep stopping to keep from having an anxiety attack.

"This is My Worlds Empty Head" by Katie Ewing & Kevin Trobaugh ©'06

Created in November of 2006, with Kevin Trobaugh. This was done in graphite pencil over photograph. The photograph was done by Kevin, I removed the face and added the drawing for a surreal art club on DeviantArt.com named EmptyHeads. Kind of neat piece, definitely different.

"Tribute to the Magic of Disney" by Katie Ewing '06, ©Disney

Created in 2006, tribute to Disney. I grew up loving Disney, watching Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and the Silly Symphony cartoons. Then all the classic Disney movies, Jungle Book, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Song of the South, Alice in wonderland, Bambi, I could go on and on. But they inspired me, made me want to learn to draw, and helped me become an imaginative individual. Walt Disney was a true inspiration.

"Ancient NeoGothic Eye" by Joe MacGown & Katie Ewing ©'07

Created this past August, with Joe MacGown. Done in graphite pencil. Like "Anubis Eye", this was a collaboration. Joe did the left half, covered all but 3cm, and I completed the right half. These are done for a club called the The Exquisite Corpse.

"ReptEyel" by Susana & Katie Ewing ©'07

Created in February of 2007 with Susana, a friend on DeviantArt. You can also see more of her work at her tattoo website, sorry I have never known her last name. This is another Exquisite Corpse, like the others listed above. The left half is her's and the right is mine. Her half is spectacular, I absolutely love it.

"Eye Sweat" by Drew Bailey & Katie Ewing ©'06

Created in 2006, with Drew Bailey. Done in graphite pencil. Like "ReptEyel", this was a collaboration. Drew did the left half, covered all but 3cm, and I completed the right half. These are done for a club called the The Exquisite Corpse.

"Thoth" by Katie Ewing ©'01

Created in 2001. The Devil, the Star, Knight of Swords, and the Queen of Disks, surrounded by the Four Faces (spirits of the corners). A congregation of Life and spirituality in the struggle for balance. Tribute to the artwork of Lady Frieda Harris and the brilliant mind of Aleister Crowley. "The book of Thoth".
